In 1971 the fates of the music industry would design a meeting with Al Bondar and Bob Wise.  The next eight years would become a special place in time where Al and Bob musically ?ran with scissors? and ?colored outside the lines?.  They became obsessed to create and design a music that might personify their innermost emotions and feelings that were laced with passion, adrenaline, and certainly some testosterone, as well.  There was an unbelievable atmosphere in a Bondar & Wise concert when the audience would become a part of the songs and the arrangements.  Every show was a new adventure where energies would pass back and forth between Bondar & Wise the audience and the material they were performing.  ?There has been much treasure in the "Live for Today" theory but I still recall B & W living for the Next Note".  Never able to make the transition that the major labels wanted B&W to make they finally realized their strongest music was being left behind in attempts to accommodate the "GODZ OFTHE MUSIC INDUSTRY".  It only took thirty years to find a record label that would take on the risk of this eccentric non-conforming, overly innovative musical anomaly called Bondar and Wise.  Many thanks to Dharma Records for making this bold release.  Far from the digital recording qualities that we know today, this early 70?s recording has been restored to listening quality to preserve the only live, in concert performance of Bondar & Wise performing the music they were meant to play.

 

Hail Your Highness is a band with a new sound to captivate this generation. Pulling from multiple genres, such as screamo, pop, metal and hardcore, this band goes beyond a label. All members of HYH have been blessed with skills beyond their young years giving them what it takes to stand up and prove themselves in this business. Founded by sisters Jessie and Niki Bobenmoyer, there?s something special about this band that makes you sit up and listen. Having a female lead singer/screamer [Jessie] and drummer [Niki] brings something unique to the table and being sisters, that?s something you don?t often see.  These girls aren?t just ?good for girls,? they?re amazing overall musicians.  Currently joining them is Mike Fiel (guitars, and bass on the recordings).  They are bold in their lyrics, unashamed to share the good, bad and ugly, which are paired with catchy, driving melodies and harmonies. The mission of Hail Your Highness:  Show their generation the unconditional love that is so needed, both through their music and sharing. ?We are unashamed and proud to say that the reason we write, the reason we are alive, and the reason we play music is all to glorify our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Dharma Records is happy to announce our first free agent to come aboard our label.  The very talented and entertaining Bob Hughes has spent the last year working in conjunction with Allen Bondar and Jake Allen to produce his first full length LP.  Bob began his project with his original songs.  As the project moved forward, Bob was introduced to the publishing catalog at Dharma Records.  Eccentrax Music Publishing (publishing arm of Dharma Records) is very happy to contain songs penned by Gary Dove, Robert Colosky, Allen Bondar, Jake Allen, Robert Wise, Diane Chamberlin, Lexi Bondar and many other great songwriters.  We were happy to have Bob choose songs from our catalog for his LP.  The effects of songwriter / artist / production collaboration are made full evident in "Some Stories" a great album of truly great songs.  This has become a very popular album in a very short time.  "Some Stories" has had terrific reviews from many listeners who have made mention that they listen to the album from the beginning to end, and then play it over again.

Jake Allen is currently on tour throughout the USA in support of his new release ?SleEP?.  The extended EP consists of eight new songs by Jacob.  This album is a stretch from the norm which features Jacob?s guitar playing a bit more.  In the past year Jacob has made giant strides in technique both in his playing and songwriting.  For example, you can view a live performance of ?Slappy Thang? recorded by Dharma Records for a Youtube video.  Jake has truly become a musicians musician and his live shows are being embraced by the entire country.  Dharma Records is happy to release another musical collage by our genius in residence, Jake Allen.

In honor of our famous Michigan Deer Season Dharma Records will reissue a past release of the Pat Campbell masterpiece ?The Wounderer?. The release of ?The Wounderer ?, in the early nineties, made light to one of the production techniques of Allen Bondar. This technique is trying to clone the sound as close to the original band track (in this case ?The Wanderer? by Dion) but having all the sound qualities that today?s digital techniques offer. The song was well received by Michigan radio and got a lot of airplay. The biggest surprise was actually getting airplay on Detroit radio. It was certain to get airplay in Northern Michigan where the majority of deer hunters venture, but even the Motor City loved ?The Wounderer?. The recording was heard by The Reflections (Just Like Romeo And Juliet). Hearing the production of ?The Wounderer? led them to believe that Allen could help them capture the magic that made their big hit song come to life years ago. Al was commissioned by the Reflections to work with Marshall Block and recreate the Detroit city smash hit ?Just Like Romeo And Juliet?. The joint production between Dharma Records and Reel to Real Productions proved very successful and the song came out great. The (now a few years older) Reflections sang better than ever. That particular track can be heard on the new Reflections EP.
